The historic Maxwelton Braes Lodge and Event Venue is located in beautiful Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin on the south end of town near the shores of Lake Michigan. Maxwelton Braes was originally built in the 1930s and is situated in the middle of a gorgeous 18-hole golf course. In our main lodge, we have 11 rooms ranging from standard lodge rooms to two bedroom suites. Our property also includes two lighted tennis courts and four pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and our onsite bar & restaurant, Gatsby's Grille on the main level.

Located on the second floor of our property is our fabulous and newly renovated private event venue. This space offers guests unique options for different size events with a personal bar, large and small dining areas, stage, dance floor, private restrooms, and an unforgettable view of the golf course. It is truly a magical space to hold your special event! We have hosted many weddings, corporate retreats, fundraisers, and celebrations in this beautiful location.

We also offer an expansive outdoor patio which can be tented. The surrounding grounds offer unlimited possibilities for events of any size.
